Guest: Amanda Row (Rock Solid Panda)

Brief Biography

Born and raised in Toronto, Canada – Amanda started making movies in her backyard when she was 10 years old. After graduating film school in Toronto in 2011, she started out writing & directing self-funded short films, music videos, and commercials. One of her short films “Mitten”  earned her international attention and lead to her start in television directing special “night mare” and “murder vision” units for TV series like Netflix’s  Hemlock Grove  and Fox’s  Minority Report .

She’s since gone on to direct multiple episodes of Freeform’s ShadowhuntersSirenMarvel’s Cloak & Dagger, Hulu’s Light as a feather, CW’s Nancy Drew, an Untitled new Marvel series for Huluas well as directing upcoming episodes of the CW’s the 100 and DC’s Doom Patrol. Amanda recently moved to LA in March of 2019 and currently has two feature films in development.

Charity For Donations

Amanda has chosen to support World Wildlife Fund as her nominated charity.

Participation In ”Heroes Of The Shadow World”

Amanda will be attending all three days of the celebration event. She will participate in panels and workshops.


Director’s Chair

Amanda will offer commentary on the episodes she directed, giving insight into framing iconic scenes, heightening emotional impact, and the collaboration process of making the script come alive on screen.
